Besan Arbi Roast Recipe – Spicy Colocasia Stir Fry by Archana’s Kitchen


  • To start making the Besan Arbi Roast Recipe, scrub the arbi to eliminate mud and dust. Strain cook dinner the arbi with little water and a pinch of salt for 1 whistle (don’t over cook dinner). After the primary whistle, flip off the warmth. As soon as the stress releases, open the cooker. 

  • Peel the pores and skin off and minimize them into half lengthwise and place it in a big mixing bowl.

  • In a large plate combine besan, purple chili powder, coriander powder, salt, turmeric powder, amchur powder, roasted cumin powder.

  • Add this spice powder just like the turmeric powder, coriander powder, purple chilli powder, amchur powder and cumin powder to the minimize arbi and toss to coat properly. 

  • Warmth 2 tablespoons of oil in a heavy bottomed pan, add the besan arbi in small batches and roast till golden brown in colour on all sides. Do that in 2 to three batches, add oil because the pan will get dry. Drain the roasted arbi on kitchen towel and place it in a serving platter.

  • In one other pan add 1 teaspoon of oil. Add cumin seeds, carom seeds and finely chopped inexperienced chilies and saute for 10 seconds. Add this to the Besan Arbi and toss gently.  

  • Sprinkle some coriander leaves and lemon juice on prime of the besan arbi and serve.
